Spyware |
| Your anti-virus software does not do it all. Some viruses are missed. Lots of other nasties get missed. Is you computer running more slowly than it used to? Are you getting Pop-Ups more than you used to? In both cases it's likely Spyware - little programs that install themselves without your knowledge or permission (yes, there ought to be a law!), and then do sneaky little things behind your back. There are tons of them. The friend who told me about them does not get on line much, and there were 25 of these programs running on his computer. I forget how many were on mine, but it was more than that. I used to use SpywareBlaster and Spybot Search & Destroy. But when I upgraded to a new computer, one of them (I forget which) did not get along with McAfee AntiVirus at all, and I had to uninstall it. I now use Webroot SpySweeper. |
